Charlotte Brady: Sex is spiritual

Jag har en vän, en namne, en Charlotte, som bor på andra sidan havet och som jag aldrig har träffat, men som jag känner en samhörighet med.
Ur mitt perspektiv ser hon livet som en meditation, som ett varande, som något vi kan dyka in i, som vi kan välja, bara vi vill.
Charlotte Brady skriver på både svenska och engelska och här kommer en vacker text om sexualitet... som du kanske kan meditera över. Hur fri och närvarande kan du vara i dina mest intima möten?

"I used to think that sex is an area where we got to be who we truly are, untainted by anyone or anything. I thought that sex was the one area where we expressed ourselves in our purest form.

As the years came and went I understood that is not entirely true, that there are many dictates when it comes to sex. It just happened to be true for me. 

I still think that sex can be a pure expression of self for everyone. A few things need to be in place, though. First of all, there can be no inhibition. 

I don’t mean no inhibition as in trying new techniques and toys. I mean no inhibition as in the ability to embrace pleasure. 

I mean to enjoy totally, feel totally, be totally. To share your pleasure totally.  

Then trust is needed, the ability to let go and give up control. It doesn’t mean to just trust the other person but to trust life, that life wants all that’s good for you, that you are treasured and secure all the way to your most intimate desire. To trust that you are safe. 

Trust is a completely relaxed state. It’s pleasure in itself."
